New locations galleries now online

We are often asked if we have pictures from the location that a couple are due to be married in, so we have created a new gallery that has pictures by location.

We have only added six locations so far, these include some of our most frequent such as Port Lympne and Lympne Castle.

Take a look at http://www.swiftphoto.co.uk/locations/locations.php

If you don’t see the location you wanted, mail us and we’ll add it (providing we’ve been there)

Big Bright Summer Weddings

The sunshine, the flowers, children playing outside, that’s what a summer wedding is made of. Big bright and colourful pictures tell the story of the day.

We photographed a wedding at Turkey Mill (near Maidstone)  this week, a near perfect location for wedding pictures with its waterfall, lake and landscaped gardens.

A day at the Zoo

January saw snow in Kent, alot of snow !!!

One of these snowy days saw Nik and I going to the Zoo for a wedding at the mansion at Port Lympne, one of my favourite places. We were really stoked about getting wedding pictures around the outstanding grounds in the snow - but when we arrived, the snow had completely missed Lympne.

A sunset picture of the mansion in Autumn;

The wedding took place in the room that is painted completely in murals of animals, I forget the name of the room, it gave the ceremony a really jungly look.

Then it was outside into the crisp January air for some pictures before we lost the light, we had a wonderful sunset, perfect for a winters wedding pictures.

To top it all off there was an animal themed cake - so cute!

Christmas Weddings

Christmas and New year is a great time to get married, yes it's cold, but it's warm indoors, Candles and log fires burn, we have decorations and Christmas trees and the wine is flowing.

This year I was lucky enough to photograph two weddings between Christmas and new year, one at the old Dover Town hall and one at St. Augustines in Westgate (near Margate).

The actual wedding at St. Augustines was in the "Oak Room"

Immediately following the marriage ceremony there was a blessing in the beautiful chapel, complete with coloured ambient lighting...

... and confetti sprinkled from above

A common problem with winter weddings... or lets be honest, any wedding in the UK, is that you might not be able to go outside for the pictures. A howling wind, rain and even sleet meant that no-one was eager to leave the building. No problem, we took all the formal pictures in this georgeous chapel.

A big thank you to the Bride and Groom for a lovely day.

Welcome to my Blog

Winter is here, the weddings have slowed down while we wait for spring to push away the cold, so I thought it's time I created a Blog.

I don't know how committed I'll be when the summer madness starts, but my intentions are good, so welcome to my world :o)
